Concept build. This is an example of what we’d build for a store like yours, not a client project.
Integration
Inventory sync that sorts its own exceptions
Shopify, the ERP and the 3PL all think they know your stock levels. This sync keeps them aligned, and when they disagree, AI works out why and tells the right person.
- Stock, orders and fulfillments kept in sync across systems
- Mismatches sorted by likely cause, with a suggested fix
- Alerts in Slack, so nobody has to watch a dashboard
The problem
Overselling, phantom stock and orders stuck between systems usually come down to small mismatches: a SKU renamed in one place, a short shipment from the warehouse, a return that never got booked back in. Someone ends up comparing spreadsheets every week.
What we’d build
A sync service that keeps stock, orders and fulfillments consistent between Shopify, your ERP and your 3PL. When the numbers don’t match, AI looks at the history and sorts each exception (SKU mismatch, short shipment, unbooked return, damaged stock) and posts it to the right Slack channel with a suggested fix and a one-click link to the record.
How it stays safe
- The sync only changes data under rules you agree up front.
- AI suggests fixes; a person applies anything outside those rules.
- Every change is logged, so you can always see what moved and why.
Typical shape
Three to six weeks depending on the systems involved, then a monitoring retainer.
Typical stack: Shopify Admin API · Your ERP · Your 3PL · Slack · Claude
